New York, Day 2

Our first full day in New York was on July 6. We set our alarms for 7am, JL fetched breakfast at the coffee shop, then we headed to wander around a bit of Central Park.

The girls enjoyed scrambling about the rocks and we found a playground.

The Bethesda Fountain was scenic, too.

We grabbed an early lunch from Pret a Manger, then got ourselves prettied up for a play: The Cursed Child.

The show was sooo much fun! Amazing practical effects were used throughout and there were more laughs than I expected. Afterwards, we passed through Times Square. There were hordes of people - it was overwhelming! But we made it to the subway and got ourselves to the Musket Room for a fancy celebratory dinner. The girls were good sports and tried everything they were served, even caviar, beef tartare and sweetbreads. It really was delicious!

You can see above where they keep their Michelin star.

By the end of the meal we were pooped. I logged over 14,000 steps and 13 floors climbed on both days! I’ve been sleeping well with all the exercise, and tomorrow brings more adventures!
